I think most people know what I mean when I mention the waterfall on Bohemian Hwy between Occidental and Monte Rio. If you don’t but have ever driven that way, I’m sure you’ve noticed the large rocky cliff faces that look a bit like a quarry. The January 2019 column focus has thankfully come to fruition. The Occidental Communit Center new gym floor is great, much improved over the tired, old floor it replaced. This time of year is always full of conflicting emotions for me. It is some of our best weather of the year, and yet we are losing minutes of daylight every day. My garden is still going strong, yet the farmers market is winding down for the year.
